Emmy

With a background in travel and portrait photography, Emmy creates images that are rooted in storytelling, authenticity, and a deep connection to people, places, and wildlife. She studied darkroom photography in Florence before specialising in portraiture at the London School of Photography, developing both a strong technical foundation and a distinctive documentary style.

Inspired by travel, she believes every photograph should tell a story. Whether it’s a portrait, a product, or a fleeting moment on safari. She is particularly known for her specialist work photographing safaris from horseback, from riding across the Serengeti during the Migration to carrying her camera on a 5 year old stallion across the Tian Shan Mountains in Kyrgyzstan. Emmy Combines her photographic eye with a lifelong passion for horses. Having ridden since childhood and spent much of her early twenties working with horses and competing professionally in three-day eventing, she brings grit, resilience, and an instinctive understanding of movement and timing to every shoot.

Patient in her approach and always waiting for the perfect light, moment, and emotion, her work reflects an appreciation for the beauty found in authenticity. Her photography has been published in Italian PhotoVogue, Country Life, The Telegraph, and other publications.

For her, photography is far more than a career, it is a way of seeing, experiencing, and connecting with the world around her.
